Raise money for Times Colonist Literacy Society
The Times Colonist Literacy Society supports family literacy programs on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, raising money through annual book drive and sale as well as through donations. Every year, about $300,000 is distributed to about 200 schools and organizations. Since the work was started in 1998, almost $7 million has been returned to the community. These funds enable the purchase of books and other valuable learning tools for libraries, classrooms and specific programs for people struggling with literacy. - www.timescolonist.com
