Easter Seals BC & Yukon

With your help, all kids can have a chance to go to summer camp.                       

Since 1976, Easter Seals Camp Shawnigan has given over 12,000 children, teens and adults with disabilities an overnight camping experience they can't get anywhere else. It's a 5-night, nature-based program that is fully accessible and has a 3:1 camper to staff ratio. Campers join us every summer for a week of fun, outdoor activities like swimming, canoeing, the big swing, trampolines and other fun sports and games. Our goal of Camp Shawnigan is to give those with disabilities the skills and tools to help improve their independence and quality of life. It’s a place where campers can explore and develop their abilities in a safe, warm, fun and supportive environment.

Nobody places any expectations on them and they just shine. It’s those experiences that come home and shape them, giving them the tools to help them with their day to day life challenges.” ~ Gina Duncan, mom to 25 year old Cassidy, who has autism and has been going to Camp Shawnigan since she was 8 years old.
