Join the largest winter footrace in Henderson County for a fun-filled afternoon of running and family-friendly activities. Choose from a 10K, 5K run/walk, or a flat and fast 1-mile un-timed Fun Run - perfect for runners of all ages and abilities. Join us at the Lelia Patterson Center in Fletcher, NC for a day of fitness, fun, and frosty festivities. Register now and gear up for the coolest race of the year!
Here’s what you get:
- Free Long or Short Sleeve Shirt: Every participant receives a free shirt with registration (until free shirt deadline.)
- Commemorative Finisher Medal for the first 400 to register for the 5k/10k and the first 75 to register for the 1 Mile: Cross that finish line with pride knowing you’ve earned a one-of-a-kind medal.
- One-of-a-kind Pottery Prizes: Show off your locally-made pottery prizes for overall and top winners in age groups.
- Cash Prizes: The competition is on! Win cash prizes if you’re in the top three male and female runners of the 10k race.

Ship my race bib + shirt DEADLINE: February 4th at midnight!
If you'd like to skip the packet pickup session the day before the race, this is the option for you! We'll ship your race bib and shirt approximately 1 1/2 - 2 weeks before the race, so all you'll have to do is show up, ready to run. This option can be purchased during registration, or afterwards from the Race Store until February 4th at midnight.
Cash prizes for the 10k!
'Dive in', run your fastest 10k and beat the penguin to win!
There will be cash prizes for the overall top three male and female winners of the 10k!
1st place - $100
2nd place - $75
3rd place - $50
Must be present at the awards ceremony to accept your cash prize!

Join the flock with Flurry the Penguin in the Best Dressed Penguin Contest!
Join the flock with Flurry the Penguin for the Best Dressed Penguin Contest! Come dressed as your favorite penguin and waddle alongside Flurry as he makes his way through Fletcher in the Frostbite Races. Winners will receive a Frostbite prize!

5k & 10k races: Kids 12 and under are required to be with a registered parent
Since both the 5k and 10k courses are open to traffic and run through various intersections, no child 12 or under should be unsupervised while running. If you're planning to register a child of that age, per our insurance requirements, plan to register yourself and run with them at all times.

We are gardening to draw us closer to our Creator. We are growing vegetables, nuts, and fruit for food that we may enjoy daily with a portion set aside to help those in need. We are practicing and teaching simple sustainable organic agricultural methods using minimal resources that places nutritious food on the table for life.
Fletcher Academy Farm will use donations to purchase seeds, hand tools and chickens.
