My Story…
On weekdays, you might know me as the Executive Director of the Research Institute of St. Joe’s Hamilton, but recently I’ve become a bit of a weekend cycling warrior as I prepare to take on the 45 km route in Paris to Ancaster: A Ride for Research. (This is a photo of me finishing the 20 km route last year – so more than double the distance and difficulty should be just fine, right?)
Today, I’m writing to ask if you’ll help me to ‘pedal’ research innovation forward here at St. Joe’s by making a gift to support my fundraising efforts. Every gift will help our researchers discover the root causes of illness and disease, test new medications, develop new models of care and build a healthier future for all of us.

On Sunday, April 28th, 2024, I’ll be participating in the Paris to Ancaster: A Ride for Research in support of St. Joe’s.
We call it a Ride for Research because funds raised through the Paris to Ancaster will fund vital healthcare research underway at St. Joe’s. The pledges you raise could be helping to fund the largest national study EVER into the leading cause of blindness for Canadians. Or helping to launch more clinical trials – in addition to the 54 clinical trials that are already happening at the Hospital. Researchers at St. Joe’s are already changing the way that urologic surgeries are performed with robotics, too! These are just a few examples of REAL RESEARCH happening RIGHT NOW at our Hospital.
The research being done at St. Joe’s changes lives. So please help me on my Ride for Research by making a donation today to help me reach my fundraising goal!
