Cairns 50 Community Running Festival

A running festival with something for everyone!

In 2024, Cairns 50 comes to you bigger and better than ever!

Friday evening includes the brand new Cairns 50 Criteriums with 2.4km criterium style racing across the 3 female and male divisions - all for cash prizes! This is alongside the Colour for COUCH Charity Fun Run. Dress up in your brightest colours and enjoy the friendly festival atmosphere.

On Saturday afternoon, we bring to you our Family Fun Day with the Family 5k and the Kids 1k and 2k. The kids can enjoy tonnes of activities including jumping castles, face painting and much more. Then of course, the Cairns Endurance Sports Expo with a range of sports organisations and businesses.

The weekend finishes with the blue ribbon event, the Cairns 50 Ultramarathon. Sunday morning also includes Cairns 30 and Cairns 10 - something for everyone! But don't head home just yet as we celebrate all your achievements at the Presentation Party held at the Holiday Inn on the Cairns Esplanade.

  • Cairns 50 is a 50km Road Ultramarathon consisting of 3 x 16.7km laps. Cairns 50 is a great event for those looking to take the step up in to ultra running, or for experienced ultra runners looking for an opportunity to smash their 50k PB. Being a fast and flat run with great support and scenery along the course, there is no better way to do you first ultra or your fastest 50k than at the Cairns 50.

Inspired Signs Cairns 30 Closed

  • Cairns 30 is a 2 x 15km lap course along the paths of Redlynch Valley which is the perfect stepping stone from the half marathon distance to the full marathon. Or perhaps you are preparing for Ironman Cairns and the Cairns 30 is a great opportunity to test out your race day run. With 2 fast and flat laps, you can expect great running and paths lined with spectators

  • Cairns 10 is a 2 lap fast and flat course perfect for a 10k PB, a first time 10k, or a casual 10k run with friends and family.
