My Story…
This year marks 10 years since my mom passed away from a Glioblastoma Brain Tumour and 10 years since Reason4Running joined the Banff Jasper Relay.
The Banff Jasper Reply runs every year with proceeds going to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. We joined this relay in 2013 in honour of my mom. She was there to cheer us on as we crossed the finished line with a mix of emotions ranging from pride and inspiration to empathy and solidarity. She was so proud, and I know she still is. She is our reason for running.
We have been running this race in her memory as well as to help so many others battling this terrible disease. It has grown into a meaningful tradition, not only as personal tribute but also as a way to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
