What Makes Rose City (Welland) a Great Place to Race

Hosted at the Welland International Flatwater Centre and featuring Ontario’s Best Swim Venue, the Rose City (Welland) Triathlon is part of nearly Forty (40) Year history of Triathlon events in Welland.

Our Long Course Events on Saturday serve as a perfect early summer event to prepare you for any longer events throughout the summer.

The event also features a FULLY CLOSED Bike Course on Sunday for the Sprint and Give-It-A-Tri Events.

Registration closes on Wednesday, June 19th at 12PM or when the cap of 1,125 is reached.

1. Register by Sunday, June 2nd to receive a Race Specific T-Shirt.

2. Registration received after June 2nd will receive a 2023 Series T-Shirt.

3. You may also select $5 off your cart if you opt out of selecting a T-Shirt.

4. Register by Sunday, June 16th to receive a personalized race bib.

5. Registrations received after June 16th will receive a non personalized bib.

Registration Transfers, Deferrals, and Refunds

Change inside the Same Event – For $10.00 you can change races (e.g. Sprint Tri to Sprint Du) inside the same event within Race Roster

Transfer to a Different Event – For $25.00 you can change to a different event (e.g. Welland to Bracebridge)

Transfer your Entry to Another Person – For $20.00 you can transfer your entry to another person within Race Roster

Defer to Next Season – For $40 you may defer/credit your entry for a maximum of One (1) Year or Event Season

  • Any Transfers or Deferrals MUST be initiated and completed by 11:59PM on Wednesday, June 12th.
  • If there is a difference in the registration fees, you will need to pay the difference plus the transfer fee
  • If there is no difference in the registration fees, you will need to pay the transfer fee
  • If you are transferring to a lower-priced race, no refunds will be issued

Refund Policy

We will grant refunds for substantiated Medical Reasons (e.g. significant injury, severe illness, etc.) ONLY as follows:

  • Up to Four (4) Weeks prior to an event, we will be able to offer a 75% refund
  • Up to Two (2) Weeks prior to an event, we will be able to offer a 25% refund
  • There will be No Refunds for any reason within Two (2) Weeks of any event
  • With all refunds, the participant will be required to pay the processing fee

You can expect to hear from us in the following sequence:

1. Pre Event Notice sent on Wednesday, June 12th by 9PM.

2. Final Event Notice sent on Thursday, June 22nd by 9PM containing your bib number and start time info.

3. Post Race Report sent the week of June 26th, including photos, results, and any articles written about the event.
