My Story…
I am excited to be running the Philadelphia Marathon on November 24th as a member of the AACR Runners for Research team!
In 2023 I was diagnosed with Cancer. Although it is a part of my life that I keep sheltered, it affected me in many different ways. I was lucky to have detected the tumor early, and was able to undergo surgery and prevent the long lasting battle that many people must endure with this diagnosis. Cancer has not only affected me, but took the life of my grandmother and has had a lasting impact on my family and countless others.
I am excited to participate as a member the Runners for Research Team and raise money to support cancer research and prevention. Early detection, and adequate treatment are crucial to beating cancer, and by supporting AACR, a lasting difference can be made.
