The best way out of poverty is education. Throughout my life I have learned with the benefit of the library. The library's mission is to give access to to education and information resources and services. The Toronto Public Library strives for excellence in research, teaching and learning and provides physical and virtual spaces in which users of all abilities and backgrounds feel welcome and secure.
Description
I am running for the Toronto Public Library Foundation, and your donation will support the busiest public library system in the world - Toronto Public Library (TPL). Nearly 70% of Torontonians trust and rely on its services, with 100,000 people using the Library each day. TPL has the greatest reach and capacity to advance social and economic impact in our community.
With 100 branches across the city, the Library is uniquely tapped into every neighbourhood, providing the resources, programs, and services to meet the unique needs of community members served.
TPL’s incredible reach combined with the generous support of our donors is making an impactful difference and changing lives in Toronto for the better.
