My Story…
My beloved mother was diagnosed in 2013 with mild cognitive impairment. In two short years, it became Alzheimer’s. During the next 10 years we had many tender memories along with tense moments. The disease robbed me of my mommy. I was her “Bebe”. She always said it was a gift that not only did we have a very close mother-daughter relationship; that we were good friends too. I finally lost my dearest Mommy last year on April 22, 2023. In honour of her memory, her guidance, wisdom, unconditional love and unwavering support that has been a big part of who I have become, and to all those that suffer from this cruel and terrible disease, I thank you for your support as I raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto so that they can offer assistance to those who sadly travel down this dark road. With appreciation, Winnie…the Warrior
