My Story…
Last year, after a difficult 8-year battle, I bid farewell to my cherished mother who succumbed to the relentless grip of Alzheimer's. It's a devastating journey that countless families endure, and the numbers paint a grim reality: by 2030, nearly 1 million Canadians will grapple with this disease. But amidst the shadows, there's a beacon of hope, and it's illuminated by our collective action.
That's why I'm lacing up for the 2024 Constantine Yorkville Run, rallying behind the Alzheimer Society of Toronto (AST). AST isn't just an organization; it's a lifeline for those navigating the tumultuous waters of dementia. Their arsenal includes vital programs, educational initiatives, healthcare guidance, and compassionate counseling. I've personally witnessed the transformative power of their services, and I implore you to join me in fueling their mission.
Your support isn't just a donation; it's a lifeline, a ray of hope for families like mine. Together, let's rewrite the narrative of Alzheimer's. Thank you, from the depths of my heart, for standing beside me in this crucial cause.
With gratitude,
Andrew
