My Story…
Lilly was diagnosed with Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis in March 2023. We are walking for Lilly and all of her friends who battle their rheumatic diseases with courage, strength and determination every day.
We are so proud of the progress Lilly has made in the last year: trialing different treatment, befriending her incredible medical team, fundraising for CHEO, and finally finding some reprieve from symptoms, all while participating in other activities she loves including attending school, gymnastics, and taking off on her scooter.
We are so grateful to the support we have received from Cassie+Friends and are proud to be fundraising for this amazing organization. We have benefited from their practical, evidence-based information, direct support, and the way they have broken down barriers to connect us with other families in this journey to help us feel less alone. Participating in Family Day this year was an amazing experience for all of us, showcasing the amazing people who work to treat, and learn to live with, rheumatic disease every day.
