Start Here Go Anywhere 4K Run/Walk

Break out your GREEN and GOLD for this event presented by the students from the Sport Recreation and Management Club (SRM) and proudly sponsored by the St. Clair College Alumni Association. The Start Here Go Anywhere 4K Run/Walk is a community event open to everyone to showcase the St. Clair College and the Sport Recreation Management program. A Kids Dash and 1K run/walk will also be offered.

This event is planned and implemented by the students in the Sport and Recreation Management Program. Students from all 3 years are involved in creating a memorable event as part of their learning. It's kind of like their final exam!

Proceeds from this event will benefit the local charity KidSport Windsor, provide 2 scholarships for SRM students and provide funding for the St. Clair College Athletic Hall of Fame.

The course will highlight the Dr. Patti France Promenade at the north end of the campus and then all the athletic amenities at the south end of the campus including one lap on the turf field inside Acumen Stadium plus a quick visit to say hello to our neighbours at The Village of St. Clair Long-Term Care facility!

All registered participants will receive 2 tickets to a Windsor Spitfires home game in October 2024 (details TBA).

• One-of-a-kind finisher's medal to the first 325 registrations only.
• Someone will win a pair of tickets to a Toronto Blue Jays Home Game vs the Detroit Tigers on Saturday, July 20 at 3:07pm. Compliments of the Toronto Blue Jays!
• 2 pair of premium seats plus parking to the Saturday, May 11 at 6:00pm Houston Astros vs Detroit Tigers home game compliments of Bally's Sports!
• Family activities including balloon twisting by Jangles The Clown, face-painting from our ECE program students, cornhole games and more!
• Chances to win door prizes including a pair of season's tickets to all 2023 home games for the St. Clair Saints football team, St. Clair College swag, Woodland Hills Golf prizes, prizes from the Running Factory, a 9-hole playing golf lesson at Woodland Hills Golf Course from St. Clair Golf Coach and PGA of Canada A Member Kevin Corriveau, 2 custom-made St. Clair College cornhole game set (made by our Woodworking Technician students) and much more!
• Post-event refreshments compliments of Tim Hortons, QDOBA Mexican Eats and mini munchies from Pure Flavor!
• The official cookie of St. Clair College! As created by our Culinary Management Program, an iced sugar cookie featuring a gold griffin!
• Cornhole and basketball games, activities and contests in the Sportsplex Gymnasium plus tours of the Sportsplex!
• Discounted entry fees for children, students and St. Clair College Alumni!

Also, we will award a $100 cash prize to the College department that brings out the most participants, a $100 cash prize to the St. Clair College Varsity Team that brings out the most participants and the local Social Running Group that brings out the most participants, plus a 2nd place prize of $50 to our local Social Running Club with the 2nd most participants !
