St. Mary's Food Bank

In Arizona, food insecurity is a problem 2 million Arizonans are faced with every year. Nearly 30% of our neighbors in need are considered working poor, living on wages that barely cover housing and other basic necessities. 

Food Distribution:

St. Mary’s Food Bank distributes food to over 800 partner agencies, covering 81,000 sq miles of Arizona. These agencies include food pantries, dining halls, shelters for the unhoused community, and more. 

Children’s Feeding Programs:

One in four children in Arizona lives in poverty and is at risk of going to bed at night hungry. Arizona ranks 47^th out of 50 states in the number of children who may not know where their next meal is coming from. Our vision is to see that no child goes to bed hungry, so they can live healthy and productive lives. In response to these needs, St. Mary’s Food Bank operates programs that fight child hunger, including Kids Cafe® and the Backpack Program.

Children’s Feeding Programs:

We offer two Skills Center Programs: LIFT and Community Kitchen. These programs are meant for those who have employment barriers and gives them the opportunity to gain the skills necessary to get jobs offering livable wages, benefits, and opportunities for advancement through hands-on food service or warehouse training as well as classroom studies.

Every $1 donated provides those neighbors with enough food for 5 meals!
