Mile High United Way Turkey Trot

The Course & Start Waves
The course starts at South High School (1700 E. Louisiana Ave., Denver, CO 80210), and is a relatively flat A to B running route, 4 miles long. View the 2024 Course Map. 

There are four start waves. The start waves are every 30 minutes, beginning at 9 a.m. Each wave has limited capacity, so register early!  At just under one mile, the Lil' Gobbler Family Fun Run is a perfect way to get the whole family moving. See the Event Schedule listed above.

Finish Village
After crossing the finish line, the excitement continues at our Finish Village, designed for the entire family to enjoy! Explore booths from our valued sponsors, giveaways, interactive experiences and more —all in support of our mission to create change for Metro Denver families. Don’t miss the Lil’ Gobbler Kids Zone, featuring games, face painters, photos with Gobbles the Turkey and more.

For our adult participants, unwind and celebrate your achievement at our post-race craft beer garden. (Please remember to bring your ID). It’s the perfect spot to relax, mingle with fellow runners and enjoy refreshments.

Whether you’re cheering on the little ones or toasting your race achievement, there’s something for everyone at our Finish Village.

Furry Friends Registration
Register your furry friend to guarantee their very own pet bandana. Furry Friends Registration can be added for only $12. Quantities are limited, so register now to include your four-legged gobblers in the race day fun! 

Parking 
Parking is available at South High School, around the perimeter of Washington Park and in the All City Stadium lot south of South High School.  

What to Bring 
Colorado weather in November can be unpredictable, so plan to dress accordingly. Thanksgiving-themed attire and costumes are encouraged!  If you plan to participate in the post-race craft beer garden, please remember to bring your ID. 

By Mail
This option is only available through Oct. 27th and must be selected at the time of registration. Packet assembly and mailing will begin Nov. 8. If you live out of state and wish to have your packet mailed, we strongly suggest you enter your local destination address for the mail option. Please contact info@halsports.net with questions about your mailed packets. 

In-Person Pick-Up
Mile High United Way is excited to partner with Fleet Feet in Cherry Creek *now inside the Mall (3000 E. 1st Ave., #112, Denver, CO 80206) for advance packet pick-up. Please choose from one of the following days to pick up your packet.

• Sunday, Nov. 24 | 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Tuesday, Nov. 26 | 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Wednesday, Nov. 27 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Thanksgiving morning starting at 7:30 a.m. in front of South High School

Safety and Medical Information
Safety is our top priority. We have medical personnel on-site. In the case of an emergency, please find a volunteer in a bright vest or approach any event staff member for assistance. Participants are encouraged to:

• Stay hydrated throughout the race.
• Dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
• Listen to instructions from race officials and follow course guidelines.

We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. If you have specific medical conditions or concerns we recommend consulting with your health care provider before participating.
