Raise money for The Progeria Research Foundation
Progeria is a rare, fatal, “rapid-aging” disease. Without the discovery of new treatments, all children with Progeria will die of heart disease at an average age of just 14.5 years. The Progeria Research Foundation (PRF) was founded in 1999 in response to the complete lack of progress being made to help children with Progeria. Our mission: to discover treatments and the cure for Progeria and its aging-related disorders, including heart disease. Today, PRF continues to be the only organization in the world solely dedicated to this mission.
The Progeria Research Foundation is thrilled to once again be part of the Falmouth Road Race Numbers for Nonprofits program!
Thanks to our dedicated runners, PRF’s Falmouth Road Race team has raised nearly $200,000 gross since 2015, bringing us closer to additional treatments and the cure for Progeria.
Let’s make this year the best yet - support TEAM PRF today!

The Progeria Research Foundation's Mission:
To discover treatments and the cure for Progeria and its aging-related disorders, including heart disease.
What is Progeria?
Progeria, also known as Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS), is a rare, fatal genetic condition of accelerated aging in children. Without lonafarnib treatment, all children with Progeria die of the same heart disease that affects millions of normally aging adults (arteriosclerosis), but at an average age of just 14.5 years.
Together, we WILL find the cure!
