Raise money for Vineyard Havens
Vineyard Havens givens all-expenses paid vacations to families facing cancer so they can rest, reconnect and make new memories again. We serve all ages and stages of cancer with half or more of our patients under age 18. Vineyard Havens focuses on families who could not typically afford a vacation.
A cancer diagnosis, along with its vigorous treatment protocols, can be traumatic for both patients and caregivers. The American Cancer Society (ACS) estimates that as many as 1 in 4 recent cancer patients have PTSD while caregivers can also develop PTSD. According to the ACS, one study found that almost 1 in 5 families with teenage cancer survivors had a parent with PTSD.
About the race
The Falmouth Road Race was established in 1973 and has become one of the premier running events of the summer season. Each year the race draws an international field of Olympians, elite, and recreational runners out to enjoy the iconic 7-mile seaside course.
