Support. Inspire. Empower.
Hi Everyone,
I recently joined the Herren Project which is a national nonprofit organization providing free resources and support for the treatment, recovery and prevention of substance use disorder. This August I will be running in the Falmouth Road Race (Cape Cod) in memory of my late husband, Alex. Becoming more involved with helping others was something Alex always inspired to do, but unfortunately never got the chance to. Anyone that had the opportunity to know Alex, knows how kind hearted, giving and supportive he truly was.
Raising awareness about substance use disorders is crucial to reduce stigma, promote understanding, encourage early intervention, and ultimately improve access to treatment and support for affected individuals. It also helps in preventing substance abuse by educating communities about the risks and providing resources for healthier choices.
Together, let's break the chains of silence, stigma, and suffering associated with substance abuse. Join us in raising awareness and building a community that fosters compassion, understanding and hope.
