My Story…
Hello friends! I am fortunate enough to have been selected to represent the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the 52nd running of THE Falmouth Road Race. I applied to represent The CF Foundation for 2 reasons…1) We lost Charlie to the disease and 2) We lost Pete to esophageal cancer last year.
If you’re asking yourself what one has to do with the other, the answer is this: not only did Pete know and love Charlie, he was also one of the most selfless and giving people I have ever known. I know if he could choose between me raising money for something cancer related or another cause, he would tell me to go with another cause.
The combination of those things, plus our deep ties to the Cape, made this race and this fundraising effort the perfect way for me to honor my two friends. Although the 7 mile distance is modest, you have my commitment that I will give it everything I have.
