My Story…
I'm excited to be running the 52nd Falmouth Road Race this year as a team captain for the Project Sweet Peas New England Charity Team! I've had the pleasure of being on the receiving end of their thoughtful care packages for NICU families and now have the joy of delivering these packages to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center NICU families.
I will be running the race in honor of my daughter Molly was born sleeping in 2018 and my son Jack who was diagnosed with Intrauterine Growth Restriction and born prematurely at 29 weeks and 1 day in 2019. At birth, Jack weighed 1 pound 9 ounces and measured 12 inches long. He spent 75 days in the BIDMC NICU where he received top notch care and was gifted a beautiful 4th of July knit hat from Project Sweet Peas. We are forever grateful to the amazing staff at the BIDMC NICU who cared for him and all of our family. Jack turns 5 this July and is a thriving happy little boy!
