My Story…
Perhaps against my better judgement, I am once again running the Falmouth Road Race with Team CFF, to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.
As you probably know, my brother Joey died in 1986, after a long battle with CF. Since then, the progress has been truly mind blowing. We have treatments for about 94% of the CF population, are working on gene editing for our final 6% nonsense mutations, and have just gone through the very first "CF baby boom" ever!
The future is bright, and finding a cure for CF is absolutely the goal, but the work will continue far beyond that - with mental health, support, community engagement, and research for other CF-related health issues.
I am eternally grateful for your support of any amount you are able, and cannot wait to join you as we work together to make CF stand for "Cure Found!"
