Help Emma raise money

Hi! Thank you for coming to my donation page! My name is Emma, and I'm thrilled to be participating in the Falmouth Road Race with Team NF Northeast once again this year. At 18 months old, I was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to develop along the nerves in the body. NF Northeast’s mission is to find a cure for this condition.

Despite having mild symptoms of NF while growing up, my freshman year of high school, my doctors discovered a glioma near the pituitary gland in my brain. After monitoring its growth throughout high school, I had surgery in October 2017 to remove 50% of the tumor. Thankfully, I've been fortunate to have no further complications and continue to have MRI scans every 6 months to monitor the tumor's progress.

In October 2021, I began experiencing seizures. My doctors have not been able to ultimately find the definite cause of these sudden seizures. I am blessed to share that as of September 2023, I've been seizure free for one year! NF Northeast holds a special place in my heart, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to run the Falmouth Road Race each year, specifically dedicating this run to those fighting NF who are unable to advocate for themselves.
