Help James raise money

For participating in The 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

12-year-old James and 8-year-old Finn were just 9 and 6 when their mom, Lindsay, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in April of 2022, 16 weeks into her training for her 4th Boston Marathon. 12 days after her diagnosis, and less than 48 hours after crossing the finish line on Boylston Street, she underwent a bilateral mastectomy at Cape Cod Hospital. She is currently cancer-free (and distance running again)!

For James and Finn, it was scary to hear that their mom had cancer. And, it was really hard to see her unable to stand up or tie her shoes without help. On August 18th, James will run his 3rd ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, and Finn will join the team, via the At-Home Edition, with the hope that they can do something to help to prevent other kids from experiencing a breast cancer diagnosis in their family. We hope you’ll consider contributing to the MBCC.

The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition is dedicated to preventing environmental causes of breast cancer through community education, research advocacy, and changes to public policy. They believe that believe that to eradicate breast cancer we must prevent it. They are trying to find the causes of breast cancer, so that we can stop it before it starts.
