Fundraising for IBD Cures!
In 2023, both of my twin sons, Desmond and Calvin, were diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (UC). UC is an inflammatory bowel disease that attacks the digestive system. While remission is possible, there is no cure. I am running the Falmouth Road Race on August 18, 2024 to raise money for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. The Foundation's funding has played a role in nearly every major IBD research breakthrough. I know they will be the ones to continue to provide the latest and greatest treatments to help my boys live healthy, normal lives.
About the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation:
The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is the largest non-profit, voluntary, health organization dedicated to finding cures for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The Foundation’s mission is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults who are affected by these diseases. The Foundation works to fulfill its mission by funding research; providing educational resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public; and furnishing supportive services for those afflicted with IBD.
