Our Story…
TEAM Mike (Cheryl, Dylan and Emma Cunningham and Susan Marshall) are thrilled to be raising awareness and funding for Compassionate Care ALS in honor of Mike Cunningham - our inspiration 💕 For families, supporting a loved one with ALS is all encompassing. A community of supporters is critical! Thank You for being part of the Team Mike community!
Mike has always been a pillar of strength, kindness, and generosity in our lives. Mike is the husband of Cheryl Cunningham (4th grade teacher) and father of Dylan and Emma. Mike worked for years in the banking industry, but his real passion was working with his hands and swinging a hammer. When not working Mike could be found enjoying time with his family fishing, boating, or 4-wheeling. When the kids were younger Mike was an active member of the Canton community; director of the boys youth lacrosse program for several years, a baseball and hockey coach. ALS has begun to take its toll on Mike, rob him of his ability to perform everyday tasks, and enjoy the activities he once loved.
We are excited to run this race’s seven miles in support of an organization that means so much to us . Funds raised from Falmouth Road Race allow Compassionate Care ALS to provide direct services and durable goods to ALS patients, their families, and their caregivers.

CCALS offers an innovative and holistic range of services tailored to meet the needs of individuals with ALS and their families. The services we offer are typically not covered by insurance. CCALS works with families in New England, across the United States, and internationally. The organization provides resources including equipment, educational workshops, Medicaid assistance, guidance and awareness in living with ALS, caregiving, and end-of-life issues. All funds raised through the Falmouth Road Race go directly to assisting families with ALS.
