Wow! Let's go Falmouth 2024!! I am honored and excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race for the 2nd time this August in honor of my Mom, Nancy, who was diagnosed with ALS June of 2022…and passed in June of 2024. 🕊️🫶

ALS has changed our family forever, but we will not let it break us. 

CCALS  helped support our family since her diagnosis by providing necessary tools, resources, and connections to help not only Nancy, but our entire family. We are so grateful and I run to make sure other families can benefit from CCALS just as greatly as we did. 

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Motor Neuron Disease (MND), Lou Gehrig's Disease, and Charcot's disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord. This results in the wasting away of muscle, loss of movement, and eventual paralysis. Roughly 1 in 400 people will develop ALS in their lifetime, and there are an estimated 30,000 people living with ALS in the U.S. at any given time. We are still learning much about what causes ALS. ALS affects people of all races, ages, and genders.
