My Story…
This is my third year training for the Falmouth Road Race in honor of my friend, William. It's been a great experience training and racing with our team, William's Be Yourself Challenge (WBYC). William has inspired all of us to come together to conquer a personal challenge and to "Be Yourself." I love running and I love the thrill of racing. When I'm running the race, I will think of William and how he always stayed true to himself. William pursued the things he liked to do, even when it was hard for him, and he showed others how to do the same. William has been gone for 5 years now and I still miss him, but it makes me feel proud knowing that I'm carrying his spirit forward with me. We can do hard things when we work together! This is something I know William would be happy about - bringing people together to accomplish a goal.
