My Story…
Hi! I am very excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race this year for Team Empower. Empower's mission is to support, connect and empower young adults and children who have experienced the loss of a parent. Having lost my mom at a young age, this is a cause that is important to me. I am glad that empower was formed to help other children and young adults navigate through life after losing a parent. I will be running this road race in honor of myself, my mom, Lorilynn, and all of the children and young adults that have experienced similar losses.

Join me in supporting Empower by helping me raise money as I take on the 2024 Falmouth Road Race!
Empower is an international nonprofit with a very specific mission — to empower, support, and connect children and young adults (up through age 24) who have experienced the loss of a parent. Empower provides events that remind children they are not alone in their grief, and a unique one-on-one mentor program with positive role models from the community who help teach, “loss is survivable.”
Cara was nine years old when her mother Kit died of breast cancer and formed Empower as a grassroots movement out of the gratitude she had for all the layers of support her family received growing up. Empower operates with a lean staff and thousands of volunteers from across the globe and all programs remain at no charge to the family.
