Help Nicole raise money

For participating in The 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

Here's my story ...

AAFA NE & My family

In February, 2018, my son suffered an anaphylactic reaction at a restaurant in MA after being served an item with peanuts, despite telling our server of his food allergy to peanuts.  Thankfully he survived and because of this experience my family and I have worked for over 6 years to ensure this doesn't happen to another person/family.  We are working on food allergy legislation in Massachusetts that will update the food allergy training that restaurants are required to have and requiring at least one person on duty in restaurants has been trained.

AAFA NE has been there for me during this journey since the beginning.  AAFA NE has testified on our behalf at the State House at all 3 legislative sessions and they have organized outreach by calling on MA residents to advocate on our behalf.  AAFA NE works with and supports its members on all things Food Allergy and Asthma related.  I couldn't think of a better organization for which to raise funds.

Just this week, our efforts were reported in the Boston Globe:

I am grateful to AAFA NE's support, as I couldn't have made it this far without them.  Every donation will support this organization that gives back to its members by providing services that help them manage their asthma and food allergies through education, training, research and advocacy.

Description

I am excited to be running the 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race in support of The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, New England Chapter. All donations to help with my fundraising are greatly appreciated, thank you.

How many of your family members and friends are affected by food allergies, environmental allergies, or have asthma? Very likely, more and more. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, New England Chapter helps people with such conditions live healthier, safer and more active lives through patient education, public awareness and continuing research. It's been our mission since 1979 -- and it's becoming more important than ever.

Please support our THIRD Falmouth Road Race team to help our organization continue such important work!
