Help Kate raise money

My name is Kate Kenney and I am so excited to run the Falmouth Road Race to fundraise for the Matt Brown Foundation on August 18! Even though I have only known Matt for a few years, his passion to help others and to live his life to the fullest is inspirational to me.  The Matt Brown Foundation's mission is to support and assist groups, individuals, and families living with or recovering from illness or injury with a particular emphasis on paralysis.  

Specifically, the Foundation helps individuals financially and logistically procure and purchase handicap accessible vehicles, bathroom renovations, modifications to the home, and pieces of equipment so that they and their caretakers can live full and meaningful lives. Your donations will help so many in our community have the accessibility that many of us take for granted every day.

On a personal level, this hits home for me because in the last few years of my mother's illness when she had paralysis, my parents were able to have a handicap accessible van and a specialized wheelchair.  It was the only way our Mom (and my Dad, her primary caretaker) were able to go out to eat with friends, go on walks in their old neighborhood, and have a quality of life that would have been impossible without those resources. 

I look forward to training and running for this great foundation, and every dollar raised is motivation to keep going no matter the obstacle in front of us.  Thank you!
