Help Marybeth raise money

Todd and I were married in 2010 and were so excited to learn that we were expecting soon after. Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in our first loss and started our five year journey to parenthood. It was a roller coaster to say the least. We were reassured that we would succeed but time after time our hopes were crushed. I felt like a failure- why did getting pregnant seem to be so easy for so many others? My body should have just been able to do this. Instead we were faced with questions that challenged religious beliefs, financial means and emotional costs vs rewards. Were we just meant not to have children? I had dreamed of being a mom for as long as I could remember and I just couldn't accept that.  At the time we were very fortunate to have health insurance that covered 80% of fertility treatments. That certainly impacted decisions as we were faced with questions about next steps. With the additional support of family along the way we were able to make our dream come true- in May of 2015 we were blessed with our dynamic duo- Rowan and Riley. Nine years later I cannot imagine life without them! The picture I chose captures their love for life, laughter and each other. I am so lucky to be their Mom! 

The Falmouth Road Race has been a favorite day to spend with friends for many years. I remember sitting with Colleen and Jen on the hill at the finish line early in my own "journey to parenthood." They described their mission to provide grants to those who are faced with financial barriers to achieving the dream of starting or building their family. Todd and I have been fundraising yearly since JTP has gotten off the ground. We have been overjoyed with each report of successful adoptions and births from the diverse families that have been grant recipients.
