My Story…
Hi all!
Thanks for visiting my page. I am proud to be running the Falmouth Road Race for Community Servings. One of my biggest concerns is the lack of availability of food for people. I hope to run this race well but also hope that by running for Community Servings, this will hope boost awareness of the issues they are trying to tackle. This organization is a huge advocate for those in the toughest situations in their lives and I believe in their mission to help those who cannot help themselves due to difficult circumstances.
Description
COMMUNITY SERVINGS BELIEVES IN THE ASTONISHING POWER OF FOOD
Community Servings is a food and nutrition non-profit dedicated to providing medically tailored meals to individuals and their families suffering from critical and chronic illness. In their 34 year history they have provided over 13 million meals to our most vulnerable neighbors across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I am proud to partner with them and the Falmouth Road Race to raise funds and help to advance their mission and feed even more people too sick to shop or cook for themselves.
Community Servings' mission:
"Our mission is to actively engage the community to provide medically tailored, nutritious, scratch-made meals to chronically and critically ill individuals and their families. We commit, in all our programs and business practices, to prioritize racial and economic justice and health equity."
