I'm running the 52nd ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
My name is Keith Shaffer, and I am the Director of Marketing for Foundations Group Recovery Centers on Cape Cod.
As a former participant in the Falmouth Road Race for both 2021 and 2022, I have had personal experience with the incredible impact of building support for causes that I care about. In recovery, I have experienced the power of community and service, which further fueled my desire to give back to those in need.
Over the past year, I've witnessed the immense challenges faced by families dealing with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. The tests, hospital visits, procedures, and fear they endure are unimaginable. As a parent, I understand how heart-wrenching it must be.
During the recovery process, we learn about powerlessness and acceptance. While we may not be able to change the past, we can still channel our energy into creating a positive impact. And that's exactly why I've decided to run for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation!
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation holds a special place in my heart because of the incredible support it provides to families affected by cancer. They make a lasting difference by assisting with financial burdens, offering emotional support, and providing resources in the fight against cancer.
But I can't do it alone. I need your support! Please consider donating to help me reach my fundraising goal. Every dollar raised will directly benefit these courageous families during their toughest times.
Description
JAF is committed to providing assistance to patients of all ages, any cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially due to a cancer diagnosis. JAF understands that everyday living expenses don’t stop because of a diagnosis, and JAF provides various programs to help patients make ends meet. Because patients and families must often devote all their energy and resources toward treatment, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage, transportation to treatment, food, and more. Through our Assistance Programs and Wellness Assistance, the grant recipients can focus on their cancer treatment and not the financial distress that comes with it.
Thank you in advance for your support!
