Why I Run
I am beyond grateful for this opportunity to raise funds for Every Mother Counts! This will be my second time running the Falmouth Road Race and my first time running for a charity and I am thrilled that it is with Team EMC! I’ve committed so much of my heart, my time, and my work toward making pregnancy and birth a safe & equitable space for all. I believe so strongly that every single birthing person on this planet deserves the highest level of care, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually, and that if this were to become the reality for every birthing person, our world will be for the better. EMC’s mission is to make pregnancy and childbirth safe, equitable, and respectful for every mother, everywhere. And I cannot think of a more motivating cause to run for. This cause is so near & dear to my heart and feels like such a beautiful way for me to remain connected to birth work even though I’m no longer working as a birth doula. I am eternally grateful for the amazing care teams I had by my side with my sons Waylan & Arlo, and I want that feeling of safety, care, and love for every birthing person. I so appreciate any donation, of any amount, to support this invaluable cause! Thank you!
Description
Please support my fundraising efforts for the ASICS Falmouth Road Race. Running is an important part of the Every Mother Counts outreach because distance is often the biggest barrier to pregnant women and their families getting the maternal health care they need. With your help, we can make pregnancy and childbirth safe, equitable and respectful for every mother. No donation is too small!
