I'm "Running for Willie"
I'm running in honor of my late and GREAT Uncle Willie! Uncle Willie was an amazing man - and most importantly amazing girl Dad to his three wonderful daughters. I love how he had three girls, just like my Dad and his best friend - Jack. As kids, we spent our summers in North Falmouth - and Uncle Willie and his family were a huge part of our memories and times on the Cape. I cherish those memories and am grateful to make new ones with Willie's legacy and our continued close knit family.
On 8.18 I'll run 7.2 miles about three months since having our fourth - Johnny. I will run in support of my Uncle's daughters and his beautiful wife Courtney, as well as all of our family who miss him dearly and those affected by this terrible disease. I would so appreciate your love and support for the Willie Fund and look forward to the cheers near and far.

We're "Running for Willie"!!
The Willie Fund is honored to be part of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race! The funds raised by our dedicated runners goes directly to Mass Eye & Ear, part of Mass General Brigham hospital in Boston to help support the research and fight for a cure of Head & Neck Cancer.
About The Willie Fund:
The Willie Fund was started in honor of William J. Finigan, but known to most as "Willie", who passed away on August 26th 2021 from Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a type of Head and Neck Cancer.
The Willie Fund works directly with Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary, part of Mass General Brigham, and the dedicated doctors who treated Willie, allocating all donations specifically to help fund further research for Head & Neck Cancer.
Our hope is to ultimately find a cure so that no one has to lose their loved one as young and as sudden as we did Willie.
