My Story…
As I lace up for my 9th Falmouth Road Race and my 4th with Team HIT (Heroes In Transition), each step carries the weight of a profound purpose. I'm not just running a race; I'm carrying forward the legacy of our nation's heroes.
Why I Run
I run for the silent footsteps—those who never returned home.I run for the altered strides—those who came back changed, bearing invisible scars.I run because, as an Army brat with deep military roots, I've seen firsthand the cost of freedom.
The Mission
Team HIT isn't just about crossing a finish line. It's about:
Honoring the fallenSupporting the returnedHealing the wounded—both in body and spirit
Every mile is a tribute. Every donation is a lifeline.
Your Role
You might not be able to run this race, but you can be part of this mission:
Donate: Your contribution, no matter the size, fuels programs that change veterans' lives.
Share: Spread the word. Let others know about the challenges our veterans face.
Remember: Freedom isn't free. Take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made for our country.
A Personal Appeal
As someone who's grown up in the military community, I've witnessed the strength, the struggle, and the silent battles our veterans fight long after leaving the battlefield. Your support isn't just appreciated—it's crucial.
Together, we can ensure that no veteran feels left behind. Join me in this race to make a difference.
