Help Joseph raise money

My name is Joe Visalli and this year I am honored to have the opportunity to run the 2024 Falmouth Road Race with Team End ALZ! I have participated in many road races in the past but now have the chance to run the Falmouth Road Race for the first time and to support a special cause that is dear to my heart. 

A few years back, my grandfather, Frank Visalli, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. His memory and other functions have slowly deteriorated and he is currently in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s. He lives in Florida and I speak to him every day. Unfortunately, he is rapidly declining day by day. My grandfather’s mother (my great grandmother) was also diagnosed with and eventually died because of the same cruel disease. 

My grandfather, Frank Visalli, worked hard to succeed in life and care for his family. He is a “Double Eagle”, as he attended both Boston College High School and Boston College. He graduated from Loyola School of Dentistry and spent nearly 40 years as a Dentist with a practice in Watertown, MA. He is well known in Watertown, especially as part of their Rotary Club where he was at one time the president. 

Frank Visalli is the proud father of four children, eleven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. He is a man with a heart of gold who always did for others before he did for himself. Frank spent six years as the primary caregiver for his wife Madelyn (my grandmother Nonna), whom was diagnosed with Parkinson's Plus and later passed away in 2003.

My grandfather and I have a special connection and bond. I know from my heart we truly enjoy our conversations, even about the little things like what he had for dinner tonight. He would be proud to know that I have an opportunity to run for a purpose that has affected our family so drastically. 

I ask you to please join me in fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Association. All fundraising proceeds go directly to the Alzheimer's Association. The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia, primarily by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction, early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
