Support CCALS!
Hello! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am excited to run for this very worthy cause in support of an organization that has been an incredible support system for our friends Justin and Meg, as they navigate life with an ALS diagnosis.
Our friend Justin was diagnosed with ALS in October 2021 at only 36 years old and just 6 weeks before his daughter Maddi was born. His physical decline was quick and the need for support was immediate. Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS) has been there for Justin and his family to help with everything from navigating medical insurance, obtaining medical equipment necessary to live in your home with ALS (think lifts, ramps, beds, chairs, bathroom apparatus, etc.), a wheelchair specific for ALS patients, moving them to a new home in another state, and even traveling across the country to assist him with a broken wheelchair while he was traveling. The list is endless.
I am grateful that I am standing on two legs and and can run this race and support this organization in honor of our friend.
-Lindsey
