Why I'm proud to support the Children's Trust
Hey there,
On Sunday, August 18th, 2024, I will be running my first Falmouth Road Race in support of The Children's Trust.
The Children's Trust is a nonprofit organization that works to stop child abuse in Massachusetts. Their programs partner with parents to help them build the skills and confidence they need to make sure kids have safe and healthy childhoods.
"Childhood trauma lasts a lifetime. We're breaking the cycle." - Working with at risk youth and families in the Greater Boston area has really opened my eyes in regards to trauma, and the long lasting effect it has on individuals from adolescence to adulthood. Together, with supporting The Children's Trust, not only can we assist in ending this cycle, but we can impact generations to come.
