Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to read about why I am running the Falmouth Road Race for Aquinnah (one of my daughter Lilli's closest friends) and every other woman who is living with LAM. LAM is Lymphangioleiomyomatosis, a rare lung disease that affects mostly women of childbearing age (the years between puberty and menopause when it is possible to become pregnant). Aquinnah was diagnosed with LAM in the spring of 2023. Aquinnah got very sick and figuring out the cause was not easy for her, her family, and the doctors. When I heard about Aquinnah's courage and the limited funding and research for LAM, I knew this was the cause to run for. Your donation to Brigham and Women's Center for LAM Research and Clinical Care will directly positively impact Aquinnah and other women suffering from this rare disease.
