I'm running the 52nd ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
I am so excited to be running the 2024 Falmouth Road Race as part of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation Team! This will be my second year running for the organization, and my third FRR.
In 2016, my father, Paul Cappella Jr (better known as PJ), was a recipient of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 52. After a short but hard fought battle, he passed away in 2017. One thing he never had to worry about was paying household expenses. Instead, he was able to focus his energy on spending time with his family, thanks to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation.
I will be running the FRR in my father's honor, raising money to help support families going through the unimaginable, as I understand first hand how critical these funds are.

JAF is committed to providing assistance to patients of all ages, any cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially due to a cancer diagnosis. JAF understands that everyday living expenses don’t stop because of a diagnosis, and JAF provides various programs to help patients make ends meet. Because patients and families must often devote all their energy and resources toward treatment, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage, transportation to treatment, food, and more. Through our Assistance Programs and Wellness Assistance, the grant recipients can focus on their cancer treatment and not the financial distress that comes with it.
