As I head toward 6 years in long term recovery from alcoholism, it is an honor and a blessing to represent the Herren Project at the Falmouth road race for the 3rd time and for the second time on my soberversary to the day. August 18, 2018 I chose to battle the struggles in me without relying on drinking to numb the pain. Thought it is a constant struggle not to pick up a drink, I make a conscious effort everyday to face my demons through positive action.All I have control over is the care I foster to the moments in front of me openly, honestly, and as fearlessly as I possibly can. Thank you for your support on my mission to raise 1,200 dollars before I toe the line this August. Together we are stronger, together we can recover, and together we can grow forward.
