My Story…
Once again I am proud to say that I am running The Falmouth Road Race with BREATH TEAM Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. This year marks an extra special occasion as not only will Kate and I run, but my daughters Allida and Alexa are also joining us.
We run in honor of Paul's cousin Joey who lost his fight with CF in 1986 when he was 12 years old, but we also run this year in honor of Uncle Joe whom we lost this past winter and gave his life to find a cure for CF. Joe O'Donnell was a lifelong champion of the Foundation's mission - to cure cystic fibrosis. As he would often say, "Giving up is not an option".
So, as we lace up our sneakers, wait in the long endured bus line from Falmouth High School to the starting line, and "run" the gorgeous route that is the Falmouth Road Race, we will remember the ultimate goal - cure Cystic Fibrosis - and that as difficult as we may feel this race can be, it is nothing compared to what those with Cystic Fibrosis endure every day.
We are very thankful and grateful for your support and appreciate you taking the time to donate.
