Help Jonathan raise money

I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to run the 2024 Falmouth Road Race with Team Herren! 

I first heard Chris speak about fifteen years ago when I was a teacher at a Boston area high school. I was inspired by him then and even more inspired today, as I have learned about the amazing impact he and his team have had on countless individuals and families struggling with addiction. 

I decided to join Team Herren and run Falmouth this summer to raise money, awareness, and most importantly help end the stigma around substance abuse so that people will feel more comfortable sharing their story and asking for help before it’s too late. 

I have been personally impacted by addiction my entire life. There was a history of substance abuse in my family growing up, so I was well aware of the impact it has on the user and their families. Like many teens, I experimented with alcohol and drugs as a way to fit in and feel more comfortable in my own skin. Although I liked the way these substances made me feel, I quickly discovered that it was leading me down a dark path with an uncertain future. 

Gratefully through the help of my family and friends, I was able to get the help I needed and get sober before I caused more harm to myself and others. I am especially grateful to my Dad, for taking me to my first AA meeting. Twenty six years later I am proud to say I am still sober and living a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life with my wife Kerri and our three children; Cameron, Griffin, and Jenna. 

Addiction is a powerful disease and no one should have to suffer in silence. Help me help others, so more of us can experience a healthier, happier life.
