My Story…
Hi!
This Summer marks 2 years since my stroke. I have progressed a great deal in this past year and made some significant milestones. Simple things such as being able to watch a movie to more complex things such as ordering at a restaurant.
Although I focus on the positive aspects of my recovery, there are still challenging elements of daily life that are difficult for me or anyone living with a brain injury. Some of these manifest with words that I can't even say smoothly.
One of the key elements for successfully navigating the maze that is my brain, is the incredible people who support me each and every day. Those people make it feel much less scary and I am so grateful for them.
Speaking of being grateful: I am still training & running (some of you know I had my stroke when I was running) and I'm grateful that I can (after a tremendous amount of therapy). I'm proud to say I am again running the Falmouth Road Race! This year I'm fundraising for the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts. They are an incredible organization that has been tremendous to so many. I am grateful to anyone who is able to support me along this next phase of my recovery.
I am proud to be a part of the BIA-MA team for the 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race.

Thank you for coming to my page to make a donation toward my efforts to support the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA)!
The BIA-MA strives to create a better future for all those affected by brain injury. The purpose of the organization is to educate the public on the risk and impact of brain injury, to promote programs that educate and prevent those injuries, to advocate for improved legislation, and to offer support and resources to persons with brain injuries and their caregivers and families.
Together, we are the VOICE OF BRAIN INJURY!
