I'm running the 52nd ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
I personally know the disruption caused by Cancer on both individuals and families alike. Having personally seen the disease impact both my grandmother and grandfather, I realized treatment alone cannot alleviate the suffering. Between medical bills, transportation, meals, and treatment, it becomes impossible to deal with alone.
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation provides hope to those that suffer. Through their generosity, Cancer patients and their families can be relieved of many of the financial burdens we often take for granted. Some of my favorite memories with my grandparents include the smiles we shared toward the end; knowing that we were taken care of through our family and friends' generosity.
I am thrilled to be running the Falmouth Road Race for a second year in a row. I take great comfort in knowing that every dollar I raise will go toward making a family's memories last a lifetime.
Description
JAF is committed to providing assistance to patients of all ages, any cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially due to a cancer diagnosis. JAF understands that everyday living expenses don’t stop because of a diagnosis, and JAF provides various programs to help patients make ends meet. Because patients and families must often devote all their energy and resources toward treatment, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage, transportation to treatment, food, and more. Through our Assistance Programs and Wellness Assistance, the grant recipients can focus on their cancer treatment and not the financial distress that comes with it.
Thank you in advance for your support!
