Why I Run
My name is Paige and I am a Registered Nurse at Boston Children's Hospital. I work on the Infant/Toddler Surgery floor and every day I care for patients and their mothers, all of whom have had unique pregnancy experiences. These mothers are also learning and caring for their child who was born with a chronic condition. The child, mother, and family have all gone through so much. It has been an incredible experience learning about each woman's distinctive pregnancy story and I truly believe it is not talked about enough. There are so many topics related to pregnancy and childbirth that interest me so I am incredibly honored to be fundraising and running with Every Mother Counts for the 2024 Falmouth Road Race. EMC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe, respectful, and equitable for every mother, everywhere. I appreciate any and all donations made to my page. Thank you for your kind and generous donations in advance.
Description
Please support my fundraising efforts for the ASICS Falmouth Road Race. Running is an important part of the Every Mother Counts outreach because distance is often the biggest barrier to pregnant women and their families getting the maternal health care they need. With your help, we can make pregnancy and childbirth safe, equitable and respectful for every mother. No donation is too small!
