My Story…
This year I will be running the Falmouth road race to honor my cousin Jill Button whom we lost to cancer in may 2023. I was so blessed to have her as my big cousin, an amazing role model and mentor. I am also so grateful for the opportunity she gave me to be her children’s nanny for the last 8 years. They were the luckiest kiddos to have her as an amazing mother. We miss her laugh, smile, hugs and uplifting personality on a daily basis. I am honored to run and raise money for Empower, to help support kids and young adults who are going through parent loss just like my favorite little buddies Tenley and Cameron.

Join me in supporting Empower by helping me raise money as I take on the 2024 Falmouth Road Race!
Empower is an international nonprofit with a very specific mission — to empower, support, and connect children and young adults (up through age 24) who have experienced the loss of a parent. Empower provides events that remind children they are not alone in their grief, and a unique one-on-one mentor program with positive role models from the community who help teach, “loss is survivable.”
Cara was nine years old when her mother Kit died of breast cancer and formed Empower as a grassroots movement out of the gratitude she had for all the layers of support her family received growing up. Empower operates with a lean staff and thousands of volunteers from across the globe and all programs remain at no charge to the family.
