This year, I'm honored to participate in the 2024 Falmouth Road Race alongside Team IMPACT. Athletics has always played a significant role in my life, teaching me invaluable lessons in leadership, resilience, and camaraderie that now carry into my work with children at Boston Children’s Hospital. My time with Team IMPACT and at Boston Children’s Hospital has shown me the profound impact I can have on children – brightening their days one smile at a time. Team IMPACT has given me the incredible opportunity to connect with children and their families, offering them comfort and helping them build confidence through teamwork. Team IMPACT tackles the emotional trauma and social isolation experienced by children facing serious and chronic illnesses by matching them with a college athletic team. Through our two-year therapeutic program that complements their medical treatments, children develop relationships and skills that help them complete the full circle of healing. Because no child should be sidelined by sickness
