It's that time of year again! The Falmouth Road Race is August 18th and I am so excited to help fundraise for the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance this year! Their dedication to maintaining sustainable fisheries is a positive impact on the health of the environment, the future of fishing, and our economy. I'm sure most of you know how passionate I am about the ocean and fishing, specifically in Cape Cod. Being a part of this team really hits home.
This will be my 3rd time running in the Falmouth Road Race. The happiness I feel while running this specific course is quite overwhelming. The scenery is enough to take your breath away. It kills me that I never got to do this with my dad but I know he's right there with me from start to finish.

Description
The Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance is proud to be participating for the seventh consecutive year in the iconic Falmouth Road Race as part of the Numbers for Nonprofits Program. Our fantastic team is running to raise funds to help us continue our work advocating for our historic small boat fishing industry and sustainable fishing on Cape Cod.
Founded in 1991 by the local fishing fleet, Fishermen's Alliance engages the local fishing community in building lasting solutions to protect the ocean ecosystem and the future of Cape Cod's small-boat fishing fleet.
Fishermen's Alliance stands for:
- A Healthy Ocean Environment: We advocate for healthy oceans to ensure sustainable and successful fishing businesses.
- Fishermen Driving Science: Fishermen partner with scientists to conduct research to inform sensible and forward-looking fishing regulations.
